The new COO
Starting December 9, Veerle Lozie will take on the role of COO at AQUALEX. She previously made her mark at Melexis, a Belgian company specializing in microelectronic solutions. She worked there for 27 years, including more than 10 years as the global head of Operations and IT. In 2014, she was awarded the Data News CIO of the Year. Lozie has also been a member of AQUALEX’s advisory board for the past year and a half. She will now continue her journey with the company as COO, focusing on operations, customer service, and R&D, with the ultimate goal of driving international expansion. Customer service is also a major priority for Lozie, with an exceptional commitment to always putting the customer first.
Internationalization with a Belgian heart
What is Veerle Lozie’s main mission as the new COO? Investing in the local R&D department and bringing AQUALEX’s production back to Belgium. With the Circulo, ALASQ, and ALASQ Muro, this transition is already underway. The next step will be assembling the new AQUALEX Fino drinking water tap in Deerlijk. Local production is not only faster but also more sustainable – both in terms of transportation and job creation.
While production is centered in Belgium, the market focus is on Europe. Furthermore, AQUALEX has significant international ambitions and aims to make delicious, clean tap water accessible in every country where tap water is drinkable and sparkling water is in demand.
